For most of us, the name "Elizabeth Cady Stanton" is long-forgotten entry in a history or social studies textbook. Before I started working on my website about her, I knew that her name and that of Susan B. Anthony (SBA) are usually associated with each other. Rightly so, because they were friends and working partners in the woman's rights cause for 50 years. I know a lot more about ECS now than I ever have. (For one thing, I hope I have the drive to keep working when I'm 80 years old, as she did!)
I'd like to find out what you know about Elizabeth Cady Stanton. If you've read any of her writings, let me know what you thought of it. Do you think her ideas have any relevance today?
